HBR: What inspired you to start writing?
I believe my love of music inspired me to start writing. In 1987, I had begun writing when I heard the songs of Herold Christophe. He was a Haitian singer who captivated my inspiration when listening to his songs. I had developed a strong passion and love for music. Since then, I have always been passionate about music, which became my ultimate force.

HBR: How long have you been writing?
I have been writing since 1987. My inspirations always came naturally, and I have made discoveries through writing, which enabled me to understand those around me and better comprehend this complex world.

HBR: Have you always wanted to be a writer?
Yes, I have always wanted to be a writer. However, I had no idea how I could find inspirations to write until I had discovered Haitian singer Herold Christophe.

HBR: Where do you get your inspiration?
I get my inspiration from personal conversations, humiliations, deceptions, observations, experiences, networking organizations, nature, mediation, and reading.

HBR: What is the key theme and/or message in the book?
The key theme is human interest. The message in the book is to embrace education, which will open all closed doors for those who would like to succeed in life, understand the world better, and develop a personal relationship with God.

HBR: What do you hope your readers take away from this book?
What is the significance of the title?
I hope my readers take away from this book: love, compassion, humility, wisdom, forgiveness, patience, and perseverance.

The significance of the title is perseverance. I would be unable to turn my dreams into reality if I had refused to believe in endurance. Despite the obstacles I had experienced in my life, I was always focused on achieving success.

HBR: Tell us about the process for coming up with the cover.
I had a personal conversation with the Lord. I heard a voice who told me how the cover should be designed and presented. I called my publisher, and I was able to speak with one of the individuals responsible for producing my book’s cover. She listened attentively and created the book cover the same way the voice instructed me to come up with the cover.

HBR: What was the highlight of writing this book?
The highlight of writing this book was to share my personal life story with others, knowing they will learn fascinating lessons from my personal experiences.

HBR: Are you working on anything at the present you would like to share with your readers about?
I am preparing to publish another book, and I know those who have already read my first book are ready to read the second.

HBR: We’ve just started a new year, and I’ve seen lots of posts about new years’ resolutions. Do you have anything special that you’ll be focusing on this year? (Obviously, for the New Year!)
For the New Year, I will be focusing on challenging more people to go to school and develop a passion for entrepreneurship and investments.
