Now she plans to prevent Zan from completing her rite of passage, the Immersion. As the two sisters struggle to find common ground and peace between themselves, their relationship changes and they grow to understand each other and learn to work together for the good of the galaxy.

The book opens right into an attention-grabbing conflict between Chad and Zan, readers get an instant feel for the main character. An understanding which grows throughout the rest of the novel. It is entertaining and thrilling to watch as the characters interact during the course of the novel. Readers see Zan’s relationship with various other characters grow and evolve. The narration is easy to follow, the pacing is perfectly even. You don’t feel rushed when reading this book, nor do you feel that things are happening too slowly.

Revels creates a world that lures readers into her storytelling. She shows off her writing prowess with this novel with profound characters, imaginative world building and a novel which readers will want to share with others. It showcases the bonds between sisters as they grow to understand one another and learn each other’s strengths and weaknesses. This is geared more towards the young adult reader, but can be enjoyed by mature adults as well.

Anyone who is looking to dip their toes into the science fiction genre would enjoy this book as well as seasoned readers. It is a story that keeps readers coming back for more, and leaves them hoping for more. Immersion is a book worth reading with excellent character driven storytelling, exciting world building, and more. It’ll keep you entertained and does everything a good book is expected to do. It’d be hard to find another book quite like this one.
