The book, Letters from Mr. JB Fact Finder, by author Joe W. Boyd is an interesting collection of letters in which he covers everything from the most obvious to the quite extraordinary mysteries. He indulges readers in a journey through his unique perspective on love and the mysteries of life.

Boyd claims to be a proclaimed finder who notices and observes minute details in the incidents, actions, and everything from humans to the natural world which is present around him. He amuses his readers by introducing them to amazing facts about the most obvious things, from Kodak Films to Peanuts, and he’s got it all covered. For example, how the mystery of the letter ‘X,’ which turns out to be the popular alphabet letter among couples, originated on Valentine’s Day.

Stepping further into Boyd’s correspondence, readers find a fascinating representation of his life and times woven from complex life experiences. He shares his views and facts on a wide range of subjects, from art, history, philosophy, science, and the beautifully crafted experiences of human behavior. He even mentions facts which can motivate his readers to get up and get going by sharing multiple failed attempts of Mr. Hershey and then going on to making Hershey Chocolate the largest chocolate factory in the United States. Boyd writes with a great deal of intellect, insight, and pleasant humor, whether he is expressing his ideas on the intricacies of contemporary life or narrating his adventures in exotic places.

The opening of these letters is heartwarming and cordial, as if the author is directly addressing his readers as would an older man to his grandkids. The tone of this book is genial, and the content is easy to read and comprehend. There is no fixed rule on how to read the book, so the reader can jump on any random page and start afresh, as the facts are not linked. The facts and information are easy to follow. Although the book is informative and insightful, it would be even more valuable if it included additional references to support the facts presented. This would enhance its credibility and make it a more reliable source of information for readers. Apart from that, Joe Boyd’s book, through its intriguing writing and facts, doesn’t fail to grab readers’ attention as well as enlighten and inspire them.

I would recommend this book to anyone who likes reading short factual non-fiction to pass the time and gain some interesting knowledge.
