MISS ANGEL: The Evil Behind The Law Vol. 1, is an intriguing tale written on a fabric of love, life, society, and ruses. The author’s straightforward tone encapsulates a sense of righteousness and genuineness that’s rare to come across. With this intelligently crafted plot, author Tchinda Fabrice Mbuna keeps you captivated right from the beginning until the last sentence. In addition, the way the complex characters gradually develop throughout the story is a perfect testament to Tchinda’s finesse as a writer. Each character in the book has depth, and you cannot guess their true intentions until the end. In addition, the author gives such a beautiful description of the surroundings that you almost feel as if you are sitting around the characters listening to them.

Tchinda is a Cameroonian poet and playwright who has traveled to New York to live with his friend, Miss Beatrice. The new America is different, characterized by progressive values in the aftermath of the Civil Rights movement and feminist movement. It’s a very different atmosphere compared to Cameroon. The writer must have thought he could count on Miss Beatrice to help him get settled. However, he soon finds out his one-time good friend has changed quite a lot as she wants him to marry her wealthy, Caucasian friend, Miss Asunder to satisfy her greed for wealth.

However, the writer falls in love with Miss Angel and is later engaged to her. The plot thickens as Miss Asunder decides to go beyond morals in order to make Tchinda’s engagement null and void. The lady threatens Tchinda with false sexual assault allegations unless he accepts her proposal. Will Tchinda give in? Will Miss Asunder be able to separate the lovers? You got to read to find out.

The story’s detailed construction provides an intelligent commentary on the state of law and social injustice in the country. What’s more, you also get a peek into the new America, and how people have interpreted the recent changes in society. MISS ANGEL: The Evil Behind The Law Vol. 1, helps you understand how society functions and how social differences shape one’s life. Despite its focus on society, the story isn’t just for social-drama buffs. It’s actually for all those who are always on the lookout for something interesting to pore over.

MISS ANGEL, The Evil Behind The Law Vol. I is an unmissable treat no matter whether you are a bibliophile or just starting to test your love for books.
